The K-3 Visa is a non-immigrant visa designed to shorten the separation between a U.S. citizen and their foreign spouse while the immigrant visa (Green Card) process is underway. It allows the foreign spouse to enter and live in the U.S. temporarily, where they can apply for adjustment of status to become a permanent resident.
The K-3 Visa was created to ease long wait times for spousal immigrant visas by providing a faster route to reunification.
