What is a B1 Visa?
The B1 Visa is a non-immigrant visa designed specifically for short-term business travel to the United States. It allows professionals to enter the U.S. to conduct legitimate business activities such as attending conferences, negotiating contracts, or consulting with associates, without entering the U.S. labor market.
Key features of the B1 Visa:
Designed for temporary business visits (typically 1–6 months).
Strictly prohibits paid employment or receiving a salary from a U.S. source.
Allows for multiple entries into the U.S. over the validity period.
Often issued as a combined B1/B2 Visa, allowing for both business and tourism.
