The CR-2 Visa is an immigrant visa for the unmarried children (under 21 years old) of a foreign spouse applying for a CR-1 Visa. This visa allows the child to enter the United States as a conditional permanent resident, along with the parent. The child receives a 2-year conditional Green Card upon entry.

To qualify for the CR-2 Visa, the child must:
✅ Be unmarried and under 21 years of age
✅ Be legally recognized as the child of the foreign spouse applying for the CR-1 Visa
✅ Be included in the U.S. citizen spouse’s immigration petition
✅ Pass medical and background checks
✅ Have the U.S. citizen petitioner meet financial requirements to sponsor the child
The child receives a 2-year conditional Green Card upon entry
Before the end of 2 years, the family must file Form I-751 to remove conditions and obtain a 10-year Green Card
